Samosa Sandwich

INGREDIENTS

Water - 450 milliliters
Green peas - 50 grams
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger - 1 teaspoon
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Onions - 40 grams
Turmeric - 1/8 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
Dry mango powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Paneer - 50 grams
Boiled mashed potatoes - 500 grams
Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 teaspoon
Coriander - 1 tablespoon
All purpose flour - 200 grams
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Carom seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Oil - 45 milliliters
Water - 120 milliliters
Water - for brushing
Oil - for frying
Bread slices - 18
Butter - to taste
Green chutney - to taste
Ketchup - to taste
Onion slices - to taste
Tomato slices - to taste
Cucumber slices - to taste
Chaat masala - for sprinkling
Cheese slices - to taste
Butter - for brushing & grilling

PREPARATION


1. Take a pan, add 450 milliliters water, 50 grams green peas and stir well.
2. Bring it to a boil. Boil for 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat.
3. Drain the peas and keep aside.
4. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet, add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds, 1 teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon green chili and stir for 1 - 2 minutes.
5. Then, add 40 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
6. Add 1/8 teaspoon turmeric and stir well.
7. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon chaat masala, 1 teaspoon dry mango powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and mix it well.
8. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
9. Add the boiled green peas and mix it well.
10. Now, add 50 grams paneer, 500 grams boiled mashed potatoes and mix it well.
11. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
12. Add 1 teaspoon dry fenugreek leaves, 1 tablespoon coriander and mix it well.
13. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
14. Remove it from heat and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.
15. In a mixing bowl, add 200 grams all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds, 45 milliliters oil, 120 milliliters water and knead it into a smooth soft dough.
16. Rest the dough for 20 minutes.
17. Take a ball from dough and flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
18. Cut it into half.
19. Brush the sides with water and roll it into a cone.
20. Fill it with the prepared stuffing and seal the edges properly.
21. Heat sufficient oil in a skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
22. Remove it from heat and place it on a board.
23. Crush the samosa with the help of your fingers.
24. Take 2 bread slices and add some butter on it and spread it evenly.
25. On one bread slice, add some green chutney and spread it evenly.
26. On another bread slice, add some ketchup and spread it evenly.
27. Add some onion, tomato and cucumber slices on top of it.
28. Sprinkle some chaat masala.
29. Place the prepared crushed samosa on it.
30. Add a cheese slice on top of it.
31. Cover it with another slice of bread.
32. Heat some butter in a griller, add the prepared sandwich on it.
33. Brush it with butter.
34. Cover and grill for about 5 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color.
35. Remove it from griller and place it on a board.
36. Cut it into half.
37. Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.
