Whisky Tea Fizz Punch

INGREDIENTS
Water - 3 cups, divided
Tea bags - 3
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Whisky - 5 ounces
Ginger ale - 1 cup
Lemon juice - 1/4 cup
Lemon slices - 2
Ice



PREPARATION


1. In a pot, bring 1 cup water to a boil and add in 3 tea bags, dunking them a few times before resting the strings over the edge of the pot. Let them steep for 7 to 10 minutes, then remove.
2. Add 1/4 cup sugar, stirring until dissolved. Add 1 cup water again. Bring this mixture to a boil.
3. Pour the mixture in a jug, add 1 cup water and stir.
4. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
5. Pour 5 ounces whisky, 1 cup ginger ale, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 lemon slices and stir.
6. Fill the glass with ice. Pour the cocktail mixture in it.
7. Garnish with lemon slice.
8. Serve.
