Vegetable Chapati Bites

INGREDIENTS
Wheat flour - 200 grams

Salt - 1/4 teaspoon

Ghee - 1 tablespoon

Water - 160 milliliters

Butter - 1 teaspoon

Onions - 40 grams

Bell pepper - 150 grams

Carrots - 50 grams

Cabbage - 50 grams

Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Salt - 1/4 teaspoon

Paneer - 60 grams

Avocado - 70 grams

Salt - 1/4 teaspoon

Lemon juice - 2 teaspoons

Ghee - for brushing

 

PREPARATION

  1. In a mixing bowl, add 200 grams wheat flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon ghee, 160 milliliters water and knead it into a smooth soft dough.
  2. Rest the dough for 20 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 teaspoon butter in a pan, add 40 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
  4. Then, add 150 grams bell pepper, 50 grams carrots, 40 grams cabbage and mix it well.
  5. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  6. Add 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon salt and mix it well.
  7. Now, add 60 grams paneer and mix it well.
  8. Cook for another 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  9. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  10. In a blender, add 70 grams avocado, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons lemon juice and blend it into a paste. Keep aside.
  11. Take a ball from dough and dust it with flour.
  12. Flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
  13. Place it on a hot tawa and cook on moderate heat for 2 - 3 minutes and flip it gently.
  14. Brush it with ghee.
  15. Flip it again and brush the other side too.
  16. Cook until it turns golden brown in color from both sides.
  17. Remove it from heat and place it on a board.
  18. Add the prepared avocado paste on it and spread it evenly.
  19. Then, add the prepared paneer mixture on it.
  20. Roll it tightly.
  21. Prick some toothpick in it.
  22. Cut it into pieces.
  23. Serve.
