Aloo Methi

INGREDIENTS

Oil - 1 tablespoon

Cumin - 3/4 teaspoon

Garlic - 1 teaspoon

Asafoetida - 1/8 teaspoon

Potatoes - 500 grams

Turmeric - 1/8 teaspoon

Water - 30 milliliters

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon

Fenugreek - 375 grams

Green chili - 1 teaspoon

PREPARATION

1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in pot, add 3/4 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon garlic, 1/8 teaspoon asafoetida and stir.

2. Add 500 grams potatoes, 1/8 teaspoon turmeric, 30 milliliters water and stir. Add 1 teaspoon salt and stir. 

3. Cook for 8 - 10 minutes or until they start looking crisp and are lightly browned from the edges.

4. Add 1/4 teaspoon garam masala, 375 grams fenugreek leaves, 1 teaspoon green chili and stir very well.

5. Cook for another 5 - 6 minutes.

6. Serve hot.
