Oil - 45 milliliters
Urad dal wadi - 80 grams
Oil - 45 milliliters
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
Green chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Onion puree - 300 grams
Tomato puree - 330 grams
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Potatoes - 500 grams
Water - 1 litre
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
PREPARATION
1. Heat 45 milliliters oil in a pan, add 80 grams urad dal wadi and roast them for 3 - 5 minutes.
2. Keep aside.
3. Heat 45 milliliters oil in a heavy skillet, add 1 teaspoon cumin and stir well.
4. Add 2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon green chili and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.
5. Then, add 300 grams onion puree and cook till it turns golden brown in color.
6. Now, add 330 grams tomato puree and mix it well.
7. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes or till it becomes dry.
8. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric and stir well.
9. Then, add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon coriander powder and mix it well.
10. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes.
11. Now, add 500 grams potatoes and mix it well.
12. Add the roasted urad dal wadi and mix it again.
13. Add 1 litre water and stir well.
14. Cover it with lid and cook for 15 - 20 minutes.
15. Open the lid and add 1 teaspoon garam masala.
16. Mix it well.
17. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes.
18. Serve hot with roti or rice.
