INGREDIENTS

Okra - 280 grams
Oil - 4 tablespoons, divided
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
Asafoetida - 1/4 teaspoon
Gram flour - 2 tablespoons
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Dry mango powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Onions - 110 grams
Ginger - 1 teaspoon
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Water - 1 tablespoon
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

PREPARATION


1. Take 280 grams okra and cut it’s sides.
2. Cut it into half and make a cut in the center.
3. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan, add 280 grams okra and mix it well.
4. Cook for 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat or until it turns golden brown in color.
5. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
6. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet, add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida and stir well.
7. Then, add 2 tablespoons gram flour and mix it well.
8. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
9. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon red chili and mix it well.
10. Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon dry mango powder, 1 teaspoon coriander, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and mix it again..
11. Now, add the sauted okra, 110 grams onions and mix it well.
12. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
13. Add 1 teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon green chili, 1 tablespoon water and mix it well.
14. Cover it with lid and cook for about 8 - 10 minutes on medium heat.
15. Open the lid and give it a nice stir.
16. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and mix it well.
17. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
18. Remove it from heat.
19. Serve hot.
