Cod Curry

Servings - 2 - 3

INGREDIENTS

Oil - 2 tablespoons

Cumin - 2 teaspoons

Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon

Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon

Onions - 110 grams

Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon

Tomato puree - 400 grams

Red chili - 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons

Salt - 1 teaspoon

Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Cod fish fillet - 450 grams

Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander - for garnishing

PREPARATION

1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a heavy pot, add 2 teaspoons cumin and stir well.

2. Add 1 teaspoon garlic paste, 1 teaspoon ginger paste and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.

3. Then, add 110 grams onions and fry till translucent.

4. Now, add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and stir well.

5. Add 400 grams tomato puree and mix it well. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes.

6. Then, add 1 teaspoon red chili, 2 teaspoons coriander powder, 1 teaspoon salt and mix it well.

7. Now, add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and mix it again.

8. Add 450 grams cod fish fillet and mix it well.

9. Cover it with lid and cook for 10 - 15 minutes.

10. Now, add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and mix it well.

11. Garnish with coriander.

12. Serve hot with rice.
