Orange Tofu

INGREDIENTS


Tofu - 480 grams

Corn flour - 2 tablespoons

All purpose flour - 1 tablespoon

Salt - 1/4 teaspoon

White pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon

Garlic powder - 1 tablespoon

Orange juice - 250 milliliters

Garlic - 1 tablespoon

Ginger - 1 tablespoon

Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons

Vinegar - 1 tablespoon

Maple syrup - 3 tablespoons

Hot sauce - 1 tablespoon

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Corn flour - 2 tablespoons

Water - 30 milliliters

Spring onions - for garnishing

PREPARATION

1. In a mixing bowl, add 480 grams tofu, 2 tablespoons corn flour, 1 tablespoon all purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoons alt, 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder, 1 tablespoon garlic powder and mix it well.

2. Marinate for 15 - 20 minutes.

3. Place it on a baking tray.

4. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.

5. Remove it from oven and keep aside.

6. Take a skillet, add 250 milliliters orange juice, 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger and mix it well.

7. Add 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon vinegar and mix it well.

8. Add 3 tablespoons maple syrup, 1 tablespoon hot sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix it again.

9. Bring it to a boil.

10. In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons corn flour, 30 milliliters water and mix it well.

11. Pour the batter into the skillet and mix it well.

12. Cook until the mixture thickens.

13. Now, add the baked tofu in it and mix it well.

14. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.

15. Remove it from heat.

16. Garnish with spring onions.

17. Serve.
