Spicy Cabbage Masala
Servings - 3 - 4

 

INGREDIENTS
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Asafoetida - 1/8 teaspoon
Garlic - 1 teaspoon
Onions - 80 grams
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Coriander - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Tomato - 70 grams
Cabbage - 300 grams
Green peas - 70 grams

 

PREPARATION


1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a heavy skillet, add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1/8 teaspoon asafoetida, 1 teaspoon garlic and cook till the garlic changes its color.
2. Add 80 grams onions and cook till it becomes soft.
3. Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon coriander, 1 teaspoon salt and mix well.
4. Add 70 grams tomato and cook till tomatoes get soft.
5. Add 300 grams cabbage and mix well. Close the lid and cook for till cabbage gets tender.
6. Add 70 grams green peas and mix well. Close the lid and cook for another 3 - 5 minutes.
7. Serve hot.
